In Prayer – March 24, 2019

Deuteronomy 2.1-3.29; Luke 6.12-38; Psalm 67.1-7; Proverbs 11.27

Throughout the Gospels, Jesus is often mentioned as finding some solitude place for prayer. The night before he chose his disciples, however, feels different. There is something significant about this time of prayer, the moments before a significant event. What are ways we can spend more time in prayer prior to big events in our own lives?

Questions:

Why was important for Moses to recount everything that had happened to the people of Israel up to this point?

Love your enemies. How do we go about doing such a difficult task?

Pray this pray for you and others today: “May God be merciful and bless us. May his face shine with favor on us.”

Although we might be hesitant to admit it, describe a time when you were in search of evil … and it found you.
